I need an app to add a simple and thin black frame to my photos, then to add white space and upload it as a square to Instagram.

It needs to be noted that I require the black frame to be added AROUND the photo, without taking up space from the actual picture. If I get to customize the thickness of the frame, much better.

I hope the app could be available for the iPad, but if there is none I guess I’d have to get used to the iPhone compatibility mode.

I’m so lost with the UI. I found nothing like what you mention.
After you load your photo the next screen will have 3 icons at the bottom, the middle one should be a square, click on that then the next screen will have an arrow on a slider.

Yes but say I want a thin black frame. After choosing black, the image is exported as a square, so there is a huge filling space in black instead of an actual frame. What I’d need is a thin black frame and white space to format the image as a square.

Just crop it in the the photo app.

Way too much work considering I need precision. Not practical.

Also consider that after that, I’d still have to fill up space with a white background so the image gets exported to IG in 1:1 format. Too much hassle.

I appreciate your suggestion though. However the app doesn’t do what I’m looking for.

After you crop it just load it back into whitagram and give it a white background. It shouldn’t take more than a minute to do one photo.

Weird, I received an email notifying me about a new post by @DavidSpilb

Anyway, the recommendation was Frames. However, it’s useless. Lots of trendy things about Instagram, paid packs, this and that, but nothing about my requirement.

As always I appreciate the input though.
