With the introduction of iPadOS can anyone recommend a good mouse? I'm hoping to get one that can utilise most of the functionality (of course there are things that only a trackpad can do).

I bought Logitech G603. It is not cheap, but also not that expensive (cheaper than Magic mouse). It has both USB receiver and Bluetooh. it is a gamer mouse so you can configure and play around with the precision points. Can be used for both laptop and iPad and you can switch between both by using a button (from USB receiver to Bluetooth). It uses two AA batteries but unless you configure it on the higher precision point it will use only one of the battery at time and this will preserve the battery life. It also has 6 buttons that you can configure.
I am quite satisfied with the performance (I have used for almost 6 months now). You might check it out.
Looking forward to trying my MM2 tomorrow...doesnt work well on 1st gen IPP 12.9. Had a look under compatibility on Apple website and my IPP doesn’t show so that’s probably why.
ordered a Logitech Crayon today from Amazon (comes tomorrow), and gave my pencil v1 to my daughter, who promptly made me part with £9.99 for procreate. Crafty one she is!!
Currently using a Logitech trackball for work that also has Bluetooth capability. It’s paired to my iPad via Bluetooth and I can switch devices in about a second.
Under normal circumstances I’d recommend you check a few options out in a shop but on many places that’s not really an option right now.
