very useful for me as i run SETI@Home, which give my computer's idle time to scientific research, I've been using this since 2004. also, having a dedicated gpu greatly decreases the processing time required. 🙂

Glad you finally found it, as it's been discussed in countless threads for at least a couple years and also is recommended in the Apple Notebook Battery FAQ.

there is an option in the preferences, just pul down the menu and select preferences
