And how does multiple users on an iPad help sell more iPads? Wouldn't that mean less sales???
Not necessarily. I will not buy another iPad until iOS has multi-user support, so in my case adding the feature would increase iPad sales.

I'm sure there are those who are currently willing to buy an iPad for each user out of perceived necessity due to lack of multi-user support in iOS - which if it gets added will cause some lost sales. Others who buy an iPad per user now will continue to even with multi-user iOS because sharing an iPad doesn't fit their usage needs due to storage space constraints or concurrent use issues.

How their sales will be impacted depends on what percentage of the market falls into each of those categories.

I realize Apple is making Siri the universal search.... but what I'm talking about does something different and is more of a way to help people see what's available in one spot... I don't know about you, but without a guide I'd have no idea what to search for if I was looking for something new or interesting at the time. Sometimes you don't know what you're in the mood for until you see it.

Possibly... but imagine asking Siri: "What recent comedy movies do you recommend?" or "I want to watch a sitcom" or "What new episodes of reality TV aired today?" or "Show me recent game show episodes" or "What live sports are currently airing" or "What football games are on today?" or "What new episodes are available on Comedy Central?"

While you might not know exactly _what_ you want to watch you should definitely be able to "surf" with Siri (in the future). It's not there yet... but that's the kind of interface I see Apple aiming for.

Sounds like what Apple's streaming service would've been like.

How is the technical implementation of Nightshift mode solved? From my understanding the backlighting in the iDevices consists of white LED's. How is it possible to change the colour spectrum by software?

Or are those white LED's in the devices already capable of software-based calibration (which could e.g. be used during production to ensure a more or less consistent light colour over all devices) and Apple is now "only" making the calibration feature available to the end user?

I'd like to see VPN button for 3D touch Settings! Even more, I'd like always-on VPN or app-specific VPN connection so that I can have VPN for Safari and non-vpn for apps like Netflix or YouTube. Even more so, I'd also like to have these features for my Mac. Thanks!

Night Shift mode sounded cool but now that I see it actually changes the color of the screen its stupid. Best way to get good sleep at night, don't be on your phone.

Sure, but if you are going to use it for whatever reason then this would help.

I'd like to see an update to the maps app to make it more like a personal sat nav unit:
  • avoid tolls
  • easy to use favourites
  • advanced lane guidance
  • configurable screen
  • fonts are too small to read
  • far too much space given to banners in the maps app
  • show traffic in navigation view, not just in overview
  • zoom in on junctions more when you get close to them
  • switch to night mode more quickly
  • add speed cameras
  • add speed limits
  • add camera recording
  • add automatic map updates from people driving, intelligent routes based on where phones go - could be a lot smarter
  • make the phone work in Australian car windows - I have the Apple Case on mine and often get the "this phone is too hot" message and the screen turns off
  • I recently used the phone/watch in a trip to Sydney and it wasn't up to scratch, it doesn't detect that you are walking in the opposite direction and warn you to turn around
  • Make the direction for walking easier, I have to go into overview mode to click on the direction arrow to see what direction I should start waking in. This feature used to be easier to select.
  • ...
perhaps I should go back to a tom tom, pity they have taken hands free away from their recent/current models.

I see your thought process, and it makes some sense, but I think there are a number of scenarios to consider.

1) There may be entities (schools, families, businesses, etc) that may be holding out for devices that can handle multi-user functionality to buy an iOS device in the first place.

2) Families might buy more devices to pass around, knowing that you can get to your stuff from any device in the house, I would be much more likely to buy extra devices if that were the case. Also, multiple users on devices might mean wider use-cases which would lead to more storage needs (for different apps, cache, etc. of each user) and might increase the sell of higher end models.

In short, I think Multi-User would be extremely useful in all of those environments especially if you can tie some level of security/rights to the different accounts (and groups).
Schools can have students grab a device off the cart and start back where they were.
Families can have separate parent/child accounts and even a Guest account. I hate loaning my device to someone for a minute to make a call or check the internet, It would be much better if I could quickly switch it to a guest account or something.
businesses can treat the devices more similarly to how computers already function. For example, I can login to most machines at my work, and the process still gives me my appropriate network access rights, local workstation rights, drive mappings, etc.

This feature if implemented properly could be a very bug deal for everyone.

The Remote App didn't work when ATV4 was released either. They just fixed that recently.

I know...which is why I didn't buy one until it did...I'm commenting on my lack of understanding for why people care about keyboard support.

I wanted there to be a CarPlay mode for my iPad... Even bigger icons without jailbreaking it would be nice.

This is something that I haven't seen requested before, but seems so obvious and useful. How come we can't share notes between iCloud users. As an example, I would like to have a shared notes folder between me and my wife. We could put shopping lists, todo's, etc. in there and dynamically change them as we think of things, or cross shopping items off lists. This would get rid of the paper shopping lists that never seem to be with us when we need them. (Sick of: please take a pic of that shopping list honey, and text it to me.) I could also share notes with coworkers. Like I said, so obviously useful, I can't believe it hasn't come up or implemented yet. There are third party solutions, but everything I've tried is clumsy.

I think this Night Shift feature is a win win for Apple. Now, the inevitable, "I'm returning my iPhone, iPad, because the screen is too yellow/blue/dark/white..." can be corrected with changing the hue. If there really is a bath that is off, apple can correct it in iOS patches now too.

Please apple just give us siri text input on the apple tv for any text boxes! I don't get why there is a dedicated button but it doesn't work for text input at all!

While it seems you can make the screen more yellow than normal you can't really make it more blue than normal.

I think folders work well with iOS, but on an Apple TV I much prefer "categories". Instead of having a box you have to open up, why not a side scrollable row, e.g. of all my TV channels (the way you see in the App Store and on Hulu and Netflix etc)?

Speaking of the App Store, that's the first thing that needs improvement.
