Currently standing in my living room typing thus out on my phone. Where are you standing?

Edit: That poll was totally added after I commented.

LoL after I got the poll up and saw your comment, I thought to my self " there had to be someone". I hate that they post before the poll is finished.

On the fence... luckily, AT&T and Verizon both offer good service where I am, with Verizon having a leg up for providing service on the DC Metro.

I will go with the plan that keeps the most $ in my pocket.

I stand in the, I can't believe we have another ****ing ATT/Verizon/iPhone thread. With a poll no less.

I'd like to point out that the first Verizon TV ad was a smart move, apparently.

It was aimed at current Verizon customers. Some people here said that was dumb. But lookie here...we're at 42 votes and so far we have 23% of voters say they are on Verizon and are interested in getting the iPhone. And we have 0% thinking about switching to Verizon from at&t.

I'm sure those numbers will change somewhat but that's a huge difference so far. I think that TV ad was exactly the right move.

Oh Christ.

WHO. CARES.

I've never seen another dead horse that has been beaten like this one. Oh, except for perhaps the "I'm a crazy perfectionist who is emoraging because my iPod Touch has a light leak that's the size of an Oxygen molecule on the corner near the bezel only visible in absolute pitch black in a sealed room when the screen is bright white"

Um, I do?! Go find some where else to be a sour patch kid.

I'm sticking with AT&T, great coverage in Philadelphia, PA.

I think the VAST majority of VZW iPhone customers will be those of us who have been with Verizon and waited for the iPhone. If AT&T was sufficient where we live then it'd be the opposite and we'd stay with AT&T.

In the grand scheme of things I don't think a HUGE amount of people are going to come over from AT&T. Of course in areas like Los Angeles, NYC, SF, you'll have a few more defectors- the ones that HAD to have the Iphone for vanity's sake even thought they curse their service daily. But it'll balance out in the end.

Verizon didn't do anything really to persuade them to switch price-wise or feature wise. I didn't expect them to- why would they. Maybe some from sprint or t-mobile might come over. More of a sideways move IMHO.

Charging $50 more than Apple on full retail. Phasing out unlimited data. All BS nickle and dime moves that won't net them much. It'll cost them some customers too. And yes, I am a Verizon customer.

Some survey's say that 15% of AT&T customers will switch which isn't suprising.

How about a poll option that says "I'm not an American" ?

OR, since I'm an American but live overseas and still don't care..."I don't live in the US and don't care about AT&T or VZW, both of which suck when compared to non-US network services"

Like I said the VAST majority (85% using your numbers) will be existing VZW customers. A huge chunk of those will be in major cities such as L.A., NYC and S.F.

And I'd be willing to wager that many of those polled who "would" switch, won't now that they have seen they're not saving anything.

Conversely, there will be a certain, albeit it rather small amount of Verizon customers that will be outraged for whatever reason after they've held out this long, and switch to AT&T.

In the end, when all is said and done, around 9 out of 10 V-iPhone buyers will be existing Verizon customers.

There's only ONE reason to switch- if your phone service really sucks. It's definitely NOT about money.

Right and according to the poll so far only 1 AT&T would switch.
