Well, according to this poll from last week 158 (20%) will switch.

They need to run a poll now that the pricing is out I guess.

On the other hand, there's probably a poll somewhere that says 12% will switch and another that says 22.3%,

Again, I am a Verizon customer and am excited to get the phone finally. But, all these polls, bleh, just marketing tools.

EDIT- yeah look at how many say "depends on pricing". Now redo the poll and see what happens. I bet a lot of the "I will switch" change their minds. Verizon could have driven it home but, did not.

However 23% said depends on pricing. So the poll you posted doesn't really show 'tangibility'.

Why? Because 'the depends on pricing' isn't a concrete decision. Take that choice away from the poll like this poll and I bet that 20% would be cut in 1/2.

A more concrete poll is like this one in this thread as it's more tangible.

Where you are either going to switch or not.

Obviously you don't know how to read a poll.

20% definitely switching + 23% depending upon pricing = 43% potentially switching to Verizon. Even if none of the people switch based on the price, there's still 20% definitively switching.

These threads are stupid, this especially so, lock and wasteland IMO.

Potential is irrelevant because the potential for the switch is based on an unknown which is pricing.

804 total took the poll. What you want in a poll is definates not it depends on pricing.

The debates have been which has better coverages. So the ones that said it depends on pricing are most likely satisfied with AT&T service. They are not potentially switching cause of poor coverage and service.

Do a poll that will produce definates.

I want to see where everyone on MR stands. Just out of curiosity..

In that case you need an option for "There are other parts of the world besides America and I'm currently torn between being confused at why having a phone on more than one provider is a big deal and standing here laughing my ass off at the state of your mobile phone networks."

Polls on this site can be fun and let you know what your fellow MR buddies will be doing, but as far a real life numbers go they are completely worthless. I can't believe you guys are bothering to bicker over them.

Oh, and who let the EuroTroll in?
