Yeah my new TV lacks VGA and uses only HDMI

I specifically bought a monitor that used VGA and DVI, because I wanted the VGA port, as opposed to HDMI and DVI.

Yeah since DVI and HDMI are basically the same, minus audio, I bought a DVI-HDMI cable and use it with my PowerMac

I have a DVI-HDMI cable running from one of my G5s to my TV. My TV has VGA in, but I found that it cramped the resolution pretty severely.

this is great if someone has some dead pixels in the corner of their LCD haha
