Literally a almost completely rectangular piece of glass, with the tiniest cut out for the speaker, that’s it!

I can't really tell what it looks like or what the problem is here. Can you post a pic of the whole protector rather than just the top?
There’s no problem. He’s just showing that unlike the notch screen protectors with a big cut for the notch, this one covers everything except the microphone at the top. So it should make the dynamic island experience feel fine even with a protector.

Exactly… it’s literally a sheet of glass entirely.. I almost had to double take on which side had the speaker!

I am noticing on amazon they do have screen protectors with cutouts for the Dynamic island. Do you think those are preferred, or one that covers the entire screen like this one?

I hope the one I ordered is the same

I’m a moron, I just looked down at my phone, 13pro and I have the same shield already! Lol. Probably have extras that will just work for the 14pro. Is the screen size identical?

Get the entire screen covered! Any cut out is where micro scratches could occur

Actually no, the corners and proportions are slightly different

Looks nice. Mine for my Pro Max just arrived today too. Went with ESR. Always had good luck with them. In fact, I put one on my 12 Pro Max the day I got it 2 years ago, and it's still mint.
Yeah i went with esr too! Had them for several iphones, excellent results

ESR regular or armorite? I went with Spigen, but reconsidering now that multiple people have recommended ESR.

Spigen is the one I went for. Think same as the comment above. Not opened it but had to double check it covers the whole screen and thankfully it does. I got a basic one for my 11 pro which I’ve had for 3 years and it was put on wonky. Looking forward to that plumb fit!

Also just received the Spigen GlastR EZ FIT. It actually doesn't say at all that it is for the 14 Pro (I guess this is to be expected!) but instead says it is for the "iPhone 2022 (6.1"P)" which is I guess the 14 Pro!

I previously had a similar version for my 11 Pro (GlastR ALIGNmaster) which was really easy to apply so am hoping this will be as easy!

Interesting.

I just got my Spigen GlastR EZ FIT and it doesn’t say anything about iPhone 2022.

Do the stickers on your Spigen box look similar?

These are made and packaged before we knew what the new phones were going to be called. They will be labeled 14/Plus/Pro/Max in future packaging.

Couple of interesting points here then maybe:
privacy or anti glare protectors, and also the plastic film protectors, will interfere with camera clarity as they now cover the lens;
and the clarity or quality of clear protectors is marginally more important than previously.

I stumped up for the Belkin protector this time around for my pro max, for the same reason i used to buy pricy clear filters on my good camera lenses.
