A multitude of issues

(1) When trying to play videos on my iPhone, the audio will work but the screen will remain black. The movies are in the correct format (when I sawy "convert to iPod" in iTunes, it says the videos are already properly encoded). The video plays fine in iTunes, but on the iPhone, only audio works. Any suggestions?

(2) I have selected a wifi network and set the password, but the iPhone remains on the edge network (i don't get the wifi symbol in the top left corner). And for some reason, even edge isn't working. I can't connect to any website, or check my mail, or even get my weather widgets working.

Any ideas?

1. You need to select iPod>Videos to play videos.You will only get audio if you use a playlist or artist etc.
