Hi,
I am the owner of the Macbook pro retina 2,3 ghz which I finally got it and also checked it:works perfectly fine :p However there are some questions about since I am pretty new to this.

1)Do I need an external driver or so to play games ? And also how can I download steam and am I able to download origin too ?

2)What are the suggestions for me to getting used to mac since I am a windows user for 7 years.

3)What are the applications that you would recommend ?

4)Will the games like Civ V and the sims 3 with few expansions would be tough for my computer ? I want to use it as looooooooooooooooooong as I can so what would be your suggestions ?

Thank you

Games should be fine on the mac side without the need for external drivers.

On the windows side download the respective drivers from nVida.

I am in the same boat as Charlaux is. Just got my new retina macbook pro, and would like some tips on top apps I should get and tips/tweaks I need to do on my new Retina.

Thanks!

1) Steam is available for mac along with the games that you can get from them. Origin is sadly only available for windows users. Macs are not as compatible with as many games as windows are so you might have some trouble there. You wont need an external driver though.

4) Civ V and Sims 3 both work on Macs and considering that your computer is the top range computer amongst basically all of the latest releases, playing them should not be a problem and it wont run down the life of your system. I know you'll be using caution with your computer given the price and all, but it was created for usage, not contemplating whether or not to download something. Im sure you'll be fine with whatever you choose to do on it, particularly if you're only playing games like those two. Enjoy the experience :)

Hi all,
I do have a queston because I am pretty new to my computer.First of all I am feeling myself quite lucky to be an owner of a perfect computer, works smoothly however those questions came out to my mind.

1)First I decided to check If the computer is working at Apple Store New Haven. There were no sounds at all but when I go home and started to setup a few days later particulary because of my studies It started with a voice It was like 'If you know how to set up your computer...' is it a problem about the audio ? I must say that the audio was perfectly fine I watched youtube and stuff and It was a real music experience.Since I put this to the program office I had a weird idea of someone changed my macbook :))

2)For the first time is it normal that 5 hours of battery ? Never put it to the charge.

3)I choose my country as Turkey since I wanted to use the keyboard of my country and stuff however I cant seem to use my 100 $.What are the ways that I can do ? I am thinking of opening an apple id from another computer and click to the USA and then buy it from there and download to my own computer

4)And I tossed my macbook pro to the wall since my room is so tiny and so many shipments arrived that there was a tiny voice not so big and not so forceful.May this cause a damage ?
Thank you
