it's been a week now since I received my 5s & just wanted to share the much improved battery life I've been getting. my 4s became terrible & was barely getting 4 hours of usage time, charging it sometimes twice a day. it's pretty much double now with the 5s, charging it every other day & I couldn't be happier since battery life is a big deal to me. standby is phenominal with no battery draw. it stayed at 100% during my 7 hours of sleep which never happened with the 4s

I still don't use the battery meter though lol

I think the 4S has the worse battery life of any iPhone. I love my 4S, but when I do upgrade battery life is going to be the feature I like the best.

Our iPhone 4S are 2 years old by now. So the battery is going to shorter than iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S. And old 3G connection really is battery hog and all short of animations making things much worse than before,

I get good battery life on iPad mini and iPad 3, but not on iPhone 4S

I bought the 4S when it first came out, and battery life has sucked from day one. My wife just upgraded her iPhone 4 two months ago, which was bought when it was first released.

Her iPhone phone 4 which was more than a year older than my 4S had much better battery life.

From day 1 with my 4S I carried around one of these portable batteries.

Wife and I both got iPhone 5S on launch day. :apple:

Our battery life is best ever, averages 36 hours under normal use. :D
So far, best ever cycle is 41 hours from 100% down to 10%
We refrain from charging until battery drops below 20%.

My iPhone 5 battery was the worst battery I ever had, needed to be charged sometimes twice a day

I never got more than 6 hours on the 4s from day one

it's great isn it? I can finally go out at night with 20-30% & not worry about it dying

Right now I've used it for just over an hour and I'm at 86%. Pretty good. I'm happy with it. Much better than the 4s.

My iPhone 4S battery was OKish back in Day 1. It wasn't super long, but it will last me around a day of moderate use. The battery drains very quickly if I am in 3G network.

Ever since iOS 7, i started to carry this:

Yup, I think iOS have been hurting my battery more than 6 so far, but I like iOS 7.

I have tried to turn off everything I think hurts battery that I don't need.

What kind of battery life if you stayed on LTE network all time and constantly browsing internet?

right now it's at 32% with 5 hours 11 minutes of usage & 36 hours of standby

i'm mostly on wifi now since those greedy ****s at Verizon took away the unlimited, which by the way I've been grandfathered in for the last 10 years
