It appears as though free app updates do not require a password anymore. I hope this is the case. I really hate having to enter my password every time an update comes along. It's fine for purchases.

I also like the new app store appearance.

I like that I'm not kicked out of the app store when I purchase and install a new app. That was really annoying.

I got called an "irrational Apple fan boy" today by my cousin for liking iOS 6. He told me he can't talk to me about Apple stuff anymore. This happened mainly because he hates the new Apple Maps App, which I agreed with but also said I like iOS 6 despite preferring the old Google Maps App. That's being an "irrational Apple fanboy"?

liking how the app store can update without wifi

----------

Bottom line-- Better than the previous version....and will only get better w/updates and further integration. Jesus folks...it was only 10 years ago most of us didn't even have a phone.

motorola star trac ftw :D

My 4s gets a score of 104818 running IOS 6.
My iPad 3 scored 99052 on IOS 5 (IOS 6 test later tonight)

My iPad 3 with IOS 6 scored 25,xxx - a full 25% improvement over IOS 5.

iPhone 5 scored 190,217 - impressive!

.......still happy with no real issues. about the only issue i have are apps crashing at times, even though its always done that since i got it last november. no big deal though

ios6 on iPhone4

I have upgraded to ios6 on my iphone 4 and it was a painless experience.
The iphone4 is definitely snappier and feels like a new phone. The only app lag that I notice is with the music app , when you open it the first time. Do not disturb is a welcome feature, as is the ability to decline calls with messages. Safari is much faster than before.

I do have a few dislikes though: the new white color scheme for the phone pad isnt great and they havent made the color scheme uniform. (for eg if you want to enter a number into contacts , it still shows the old color scheme)

I dislike the new white themed music app

I must say that it is great that apple manages to release an operating system that still makes a 2 year old iphone4 feel as snappy and responsive as it was when it was first launched.

I love how I don't get notifications on my iPhone when I am on iMessage on my pc. If I don't read the message for about 5 seconds, it will notify me on my iPhone and iPad (if my mac is active, if it's not it will do it instantly ofcourse).

This is new since iOS 5, where my iPhone and iPad kept on giving notifications

The web feels massively faster on the iPhone 4. I guess that's the new javaScript engine?

It does feel snappier. And iCloud syncing is now perfect. Those are the only positive things I can say about this update...

Me too, on my iPhone 4. A really great iOS!

Hmm...

Maybe iOS6 was designed on a 3GS and a 4.
Maybe they didn't notice they were in the wrong hardware during envelopment.

Even my 4 seems ok, but don't get all the features.
My 4S though, is a different story...

Would appear from 4S onwards, it's a train wreck.

.

I also think its a great update.
I feel my 4S has gotten fatser from it.
iPad 2 feels great with it.
I love the panorama and shared photostreams.
Love the new maps app and the new stores.
All,in all a rest update. I think most of the whiners simply have nothing better to do than bash one of the most successful companies in the world.
The nutters come out of the woodwork whenever a new iOS or iPhone is released.
