A PS3 or Free Tacos for Life?

Seriously.

Hypothetical: You are a super poor kid. You probably dont get to eat 3 squares a day. When you have some cash it goes to mcdonalds or similar joint. 12k in tacos covers #1 of the 3 basic needs for probably about 4-41/2years if the kid never ate anything else. Ps3, requires further investment for games and provides zero calories. What makes more sense?

that doesn't make an interesting enough statement, duh.

it does give them access to something they otherwise wouldn't have much of a chance to use. it's fun. seriously.

besides, those tacos will probably kill you after time anyway. (grade D meat, which is a step above what they put in dog food)

Just got off the phone at the 800 # for Taco Bell. The official word is that anyone with a PS3 has till Dec 1st to "cash-in" (my words) on this terrific offer.

I was encouraged to write to tacobellnews@tacobell.com (this is the same email to use if you have a PS3 to donate) with my offer of cash instead of an actual PS3 unit.

Wish me luck that they will take me up on my offer of giving the cash to buy a PS3 somewhere (I hate shopping, and doing battle in the stores), and to allow me to use the lifetime tacos offer to help those that don't know where their next meal is coming from.

Thank you! I was going to say the same. Their meat is literally Grade "F." Its the worst meat you can legally sell in the US and a lot of times expired meat ends up in the tacos ... or so I've heard from friends who have worked there. Yeah, you won't catch me eating at a Taco Bell *puke*

PS3 for me. I don't do games; so, I would just sell it. I never eat fat-laden food at Taco Bell (nor other fast food restaurants). Even it is free, I refuse to eat it. I bet if you win "free tacos for life" and actually eat that thing, you won't be living that long. The only thing I would eat at the fast food restaurant is the salad (without dressing).

I've never seen or tried a Taco before but a google search brought up some gross looking things.
I'd have the PS3 please, then flog it for a full kitted out Wii, maybe an extra gig of RAM for my iMac too. Maybe a new iPod...

Gee, I worked there, and the boxes that the meat came in where stamped USDA Grade A beef. Maybe I'm going nuts, but I'm pretty sure it was Grade A. And we were very anal about making sure all the ingredients where fresh. >>'

This would be easier if Taco Bell sold Wii and Wii accessories.

I am willing to bet that they would have some kind of restriction that keeps you from selling your Bell Bucks to 3rd parties. Yes, it is a good combination of charity and publicity for Taco Bell, but you know that this has been lawyered to death to.
