ok, what I am confused about, am i right to think the only way for Apple to either brick or make it difficult/impossibe to use apps is through Firmware update?

so, unless we do a firmware update, we are safe, right?

or is there another way for them to stuff things up? Through wi-fi somehow? Apologies if this seems like a silly question... i am new to the world of "ipod modifications".. 😉

i guess what i'd like to know, should i hurry up and install as many apps as possible because something might happed to prevent it later, even if i dont update firmware?
thanks to all the experts once again!!

If you don't update, it can't be bricked. Apple can't go hunting down every iPod touch connected to wifi and brick it through that. You'll be fine.
