Hey guys, I'm offering to help my friends and their band record their first music together and I want to check what I need to do it?
First of all, can I connect the bass/guitar right into the Line In on an iMac G5/ MBP? Will it be loud enough?
And if it won't be, can I connect them up to an amp and connect the line out from that into the Mac, like how I rerecorded my old vinyls?
If I have an external mic, and I connect it into the line in, does it need to go through some form of amplification too?
I'd rather not have to buy any new stuff but if I have to I might, but before I do anything, anyone answer my questions?
