iTunes Match is great. Any songs I add to my desktop automatically show up with download arrows on my laptop. No longer must I sync via USB!

I just posted a short video demoing how you can upgrade your songs to iTunes Plus for free now, and all of your meta data is saved.

Thanks for the video! Would you be able to confirm specifically BPM and any notes included in the comments section are also included in a file you re-download?
I'm wondering how Apple will be able to do this? Perhaps taking note of your metadata as it scans your library?

Yes, it appears all of that information is saved. I just tried it with a BPM song.
Also, the file uploading is working. I was able to just download a file in MP3 format on my laptop without having it with me, but it's saved on my desktop at home. BPM data is transferred on both the MP3s and matched files.

    Very cool!

Just FYI, I think this information *may* have to exist in your iTunes Library already (which it should) locally. However, I would think it would remain in stored files if they're uploaded. (except star ratings, etc.) — That's hard to say because it's currently impossible to completely delete music from iCloud, including past purchases or accidental adds.

I really hope they add a way to perm delete some songs. I had a hard drive crash a while back with no backup, I redownloaded everything I had bought on iTunes using questionable methods. Now I have the iTunes purchase and the other version permanently in my library. I can't find out how to get rid of them.
