About two weeks ago I ordered a new mini (are there old minis?) from the Apple Store. In preparation for its triumphant arrival I decided that I needed a few new things to go with it.

So yesterday afternoon, around 3pm, I ordered Soundsticks through Amazon.com. I selected ground shipping since my new mini is not scheduled to ship until the 22nd.

Today at 1:30 the new speakers arrived.

My complaint is this: where was the build-up of anticipation? Where was the drama? I never got a chance to scream out "where are my speakers".

You gotta admit, though, that was damn fast!

It helps that Amazon.com has distribution warehouses all around the country... very little of what you order from them comes from Seattle, unless you happen to live in the Pacific Northwest.
