A silly question about sending items to the waste basket ....

I dumped the trash by mistake with ten audiobooks. Is it possible somhow to recover anything ??

Do you happen to have Time Machine yet? If not, and you don't have a back up, you're probably out of luck.

it is possible to recover them but the results not guaranteed, plus it usually involves spending some money on third party applications such as Data Rescue II

It works but you probably have to use it straight away after emptying your trash because OSX quickly recycles the memory... good luck!

Also, there are some heavier duty data recovery tools out there that you can spend money on but I don't know if they work either...
