Would You ever send your daughter off in a swimsuit like this? I mean it does accentuate the face...

I think the bigger question might be, what self respecting woman would go swimming in a dress?

:D The name of the website gave me a laugh. Good luck to whoever thinks they're actually goin' to sell those things.

Given how many women are petrified to buy a bikini because they don't like their hips, their legs, their tummy etc, if they made it slightly more attractive, I can imagine some would buy it.

It's also a darned sight safer in the sun to be covered up although the little Aussie sunsuits for kids look far better.

I'm very aroused.

I was expecting something really reviling. That is the stupidest thing I have EVER seen. What will people think of next? Shoes with holes you don't need to wear socks for?

I find this really sad. Not just women and bikinis, but the stupid image consciousness people have that makes them 'fear' what their own bodies look like. I'll throw 'having' to wear make-up, wearing shoes that hurt 'cause they look good, 'having' to wear ties to the office and stupidly high maintenance hair styles that take too long to get ready into the same category too. And it's not just women although they do seem to feel more conscious

I've known some women friends who would miss out on fun nights because they couldn't get their face on at short notice, and I knew these were stunning girls naturally but there was no convincing them:mad: :(

They do don't they? Most women I see in bikinis seem to have matching wraps/skirty things.......but what do I know about women’s clothing?

They make those now - I see them all the time. Apparently it's in style to get the most ugly color imaginable that clashes with whatever else you're wearing and do that. I hate them almost as much as I hate flip-flops.

Just quoting a snippet, but I take on small issue with your point. Sometimes people prefer to wear a specific item, because they like they way it looks on them and that makes them feel good. I guess I should be careful and limit that to ties. A lot of the time, I'd rather not wear one, but when you get a nice suit and the perfect tie going with it, you feel like you command the world. Based on talking to my sisters, that's how they feels about their shoes - they will wear the uncomfortable ones not because other people think they look nice, but because they think that it looks perfect with what they are wearing (that beng said, all three of us, if look is uncomfortable, will back away from wearing it any longer than needed to make the point and if there is something that looks as good and is more comfortable, will do that).

I am just thinking about my wedding when some of the clothes weren't the most comfortable, but they looked really good on me...

All that aside, I agree - there is a problem with people that have been molded to believe that unless they fit a certain look they don't look attractive to others. I guess it comes down to wanting to look good for yourself or for others...I don't know.
