Having my operating system in order, as well as the rig looking pristine is something I value greatly.

I paid 2k for this thing. It is by far the most expensive thing in my possession. I am a broke college kid who gets excited about buying fast food or maybe getting a new jacket.

I have a 86 fiero gt for a car that bluebook says is just about the same price as my MBP. so seriously, the most expensive thing I own.

BBBAAAHAHAH :D

That's awesome. I went to school with a lot of spoiled rich kids that couldn't even grasp the concept of working hard to buy something and taking care of it when they do. Kudos

Wow, I can't believe some of you can stand it at full brightness ALL THE TIME. I'm the opposite. I RARELY even have my brightness above one notch. In fact, I find most of the time I use screenshade to take down the brightness even more to reduce eye strain...

I am definitely Mac OCD though....

-Clean (and polish :D) my MBP almost daily.
-When I'm using it at my desk, I keep a dust cover over the computer at all times. (See picture below)
-Keeping the actual internals (hardware and OS) running as smoothly as possible and in good working order. This includes cleaning caches regularly, testing hardware...etc
-Pretty desktop. Minimal clutter; beautiful, warm desktop background.
-This isn't exactly Mac OCD, but I also can't stand having a messy desk. It must be kept dust free and as cable free as possible.

I like your desk man, looks good (the apple mouse is AWFUL though IMO)

Thanks. Don't like the magic mouse? I've actually really gotten used to it and love it now. I had been using a simple Logitech two-click mouse. (Magic Prefs is a life saver though.)

I use a little bit of windex.
o no.
THE ORIGINAL STREAK FREE SOLUTION.
OH YEA.

Seriously...that new "green" solution is crap. Bring on the ammonia!

Desktop icons drive me nuts and I am unfortunately the go to guy for PC problems at work (PC support dept sucks + slow) and my boss, although a very hygienic person evidently eats at her laptop because the keys have the smooth greasy look/feel to them...it gives me chill just thinking about it...

OCD is simply defined as "Obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental disorder characterized by intrusive thoughts that produce anxiety, by repetitive behaviors aimed at reducing anxiety, or by combinations of such thoughts (obsessions) and behaviors (compulsions). ..."

As stated in my OP, I am constantly cleaning up my desktop, and making sure my brightness is max, even though I know that nothing has changed, therefore; by definition I am OCD about this.

Good try

Mine is adjusting the screen to be centered on my desk. I swear, I readjust it every 15 minutes because once I move it 1cm to the left it seems off then 1cm back to the right then it seems good and then off again.
