A Transfering iTunes Question

Am transfering all my itunes stuff (music/movies/apps/iphone settings) because I am getting a new lap top.

Have changed the itunes location in setting to my new external drive will Everything get copied over? including iphone settings/apps?and when its time to put everything back on my new laptop is it simply a matter of changing the location again?

Am a bit worried as this is a first time effort!

Why don't you just use Migration Assistant to go from your old to new laptop and everything will be copied over perfectly.

Because I have a Dell running Vista.
