A/V Help

Hey guys. Ok, I have a new project and need some advice & help. I will have 1 audio track and 3 video tracks (2 cameras & slides) to make this video. My first question is: Is it going to be hard to sync the audio with the video? My choices for video editing software is either iMovie '08, or Final Cut Express HD - only thing is, I dont know anything about FCE-HD. Question 2 - would it be harder to learn what I need to do in FCE-HD, or should I just use iMovie?

Question 1: To make it easier to sync try having someone clap on camera(with as little background noise as possible). Then it should be easy to match up the hand claps visually and the spikes in the audio track.
Question 2: It really depends on what your needs are. If you are doing a simple edit then iMovie should be fine, but if you need to color correct the footage or do anything more advanced I would definitely use FCP.
