Just about to head out to the US

Macbook air and pro prices are about 30% in the states than in the uk.
Do I buy a machine now, knowing that in a month or so, it will be updated?
Save £500 on a MBpro 2.4ghz machine knowing it will be out of date soon...

or

Save my money and by a latest machine back at home in the uk when its out but pay £500 more for it???

What to do?

£500 is a huge discount. Unless you do such cutting edge work that you need the latest and greatest models for maximum performance, or plan to go to the U.S. again later in the year, I'd get a MacBook now while you have the chance.

If for some reason you can't resist the new MacBooks once they come out, you'll have the option to sell the one you buy now. Just in case, keep it clean and keep all the Apple packaging, so it'll be "practically new" and let you sell it for close to the U.K. price of a new MacBook.
