If you can't sleep because of the decision which computer to buy - you have issues and money are better spent elsewhere.

Just my $0.02.

On a side note, Apple is on the verge of major architecture switch - to me it doesn't make sense to buy any of the current Apple lineup. Unless of course you need to do some serious work and Dual-core PowerMacs hit the market.

The PowerPC is not just going to drop off the face of the planet in 2006. Support for the processor will continue well into the future. Again, who cares about having the latest and greatest if the current lineup has the functionality you want and will last you four to five years?

Honestly, I think now's an excellent time to purchase a Mac. Come 2006 when the new Intel Macs are released, people will find something else to whine about. They'll complain about not wanting revision A products, they'll compain about the lack of native Intel supported Mac apps...

Nope, not for me. I want my PowerBook now. And no I don't have issues, and I don't have money exuding from my pores. I worked my butt off 50 hours a week all summer long, and I deserve the opportunity to blow $2700! *go me* lol.

i think it's fine to be excited about something. a new computer is a major purchase and investment. i'm certainly excited about my mac-to-be.
