Hello everyone, my first time creating a (useless) thread on macrumors yay, soon I will be able to post in PRSI with everyone else!!

Anyways, unfortunately I was arguing with someone on the internet, I know I know, and they said that my Adreno 540 is more powerful than my A10x GPU, and it just made me super sad. I need my MacRumor friends to make me feel better. ;(

There’s no current chip in an Android phone I know of with more per-core CPU or GPU power than on the latest iPhone. IIRC the same applies to last year’s gen.

That said, even if there was, the hardware isn’t the deciding factor. It’s the software and how it utilises that. Just as an example, take Premier Pro vs FCPX on macOS. There was a YT video on a 13” MBP where they used the same 4K video. It took 30 minutes to export on PP and 5 minutes on FCPX.

Powerful hardware is a waste if the software can’t make the most of it.
