Hey, got my old MCP out from the storage and want to fix it to use it as a second family one. But, there is the display problem which was the reason to replace it a year ago. But I think I could fix it myself and not pay the 600usd repair fee that I was given a time ago. Here is a youtube clip showing the problem: http://youtu.be/c8ChZ0YrXuE
Does anyone know which part I should get to solve this? Thanks a lot in advance!

Check out this site:

I replaced a Dell screen for a friend using this site and it only cost around $70

Edit: I just checked the prices for your model and depending on the screen that you need the price varies from $130 - $250

Edit 2: Just noticed that your model contains the ill-fated nVidia 8600M (so obviously replacing the screen would not fix that), I wouldn't be spending a lot of $$$ on this. There is a huge thread on the subject, please read:

Thanks for the input! The nVidia was replaced for this MBP as it still had the extended warrenty, so was the combo drive, keyboard, hard drive (all under warrenty) so I feel that it would be wise spending a few hundred bucks to get this MBP up and running, wont agree?
Will check the website for the spares, thanks again!
