a1278 and a1342 keyboard

Hi everybody,
I've Iost Ietter "eI" thanks to an icecream on my keyboard, I need to change it but I onIy find a1342 american keyboard whiIe mine top case is european, I've notice that siIicone covers can be used on many modeIs,
Anybody knows if I can use a a1278 cover on my a1342? they Iook simiIar but I can't understand if connectors are the same, do you think I can?
