A1278 early 2011 battery replacement

I picked up this mbp for $60 with a broken track pad and dead battery. Im repairing it.

Has anyone here had luck with Amazon aftermarket batteries and track pads? I don't want to spend much since it's a beater budget mac for me.

I'm still using my early 2011 15' mbp. I've always used OWC for replacement batteries. My trackpad cracked due to a swollen battery, but still works.

No, but the cat bent several keycaps by clawing the keyboard. Using a magic keyboard now. I guess its time to replace.
