Hello I've bought an Apple A1314 wireless keyboard yesterday (for $8, shipping included) The seller said its enter key was not functioning. I said ok thinking it would not be much of a problem but when I've tried to pair it on Lion or S.Leopard,I couldn't manage to enter the 8-digit passkey prompted by the Bluetooth assistant because, well I have to press the enter key after entering the passkey.

I was wondering if there was a way to pair / connect it to macOS without having to press the enter key. FYI, I've tried pairing it with a Windows XP IBM laptop and I've managed to do it because the Windows XP offered connection without any passkeys. So I guess it's not required by the kb itself but by the macOS.

Here is the kb in question. Those four buttons with caps removed don't function. The kb was bent just a little bit on the right side by its previous owner causing a very slight bump of the aluminum case on the right edge which was not noticable at first look. I've noticed the bump when I put it next to another A1314 I've been using for 10+ years. I guess those four buttons stopped functioning because that little bump must have caused internal fracture on the tiny conductive layers inside the keyboard.

I just have this same model with all the same keys and also Arrow Up and Esc not working. Alas it is not possible to connect it without working Enter (I have already installed XCode/Brew/blueutil and it doesn't help) to MacOS.

I have read that someone was able to move registry branch with pairing code from Win7 to Win10 and it is still connected there. Maybe it is possible to use that code on MacOS somehow too but I do not know how. my plan is to buy same keyboard with dead logic board and move mine into it. And hope that one have all keys working.)

Thank you for the comment. I think there's no way to use this keyboard with its unresponsive enter key.
I have plans to open the keyboard and repair the membrane. See this video:

I seen this video. I was never able to repair even easier to disassemble keyboards than this one and I have tried few times. It is just too time consuming with really slim chance of success. But if you have a proper tools and time I would be happy to hear about that from you later
