A2115 screen replacement help

Hello I have a 2019 imac - a2115

I managed to upgrade the cpu and nvme drive but noticed the mic seemed muted after the upgrade.

I assume this was due to accidentally covering the mic with adhesive. Unfortunately I rushed trying to take the screen off to remedy this and destroyed it.

My question is for a replacement screen can I only use this model screen - lm270qq1 sde1. I have read you can use the c1 and d1 models. Do you know if this is true and if so what is actually different about them?

I’ve damaged two other things when removing the screen and am missing a screw for area where the screen attaches at the bottom (near mic) see attached picture with circled items. Any idea what these item parts/screw size is and where I can get them?

Take it to an Apple Store for repair.

I appreciate the reply but I don’t think they will agree to do that as I have altered the computer myself.

In any case I will sort myself but just want advice on the parts I’ve asked about please.

There is no need to replace the mac. It just needs a new screen.

Consider that a 4K 27" monitor for PC cost about the same or cheaper, with much less troubles.

Screws: You have to measure the screw (diameter, length) you still got, and buy similar screws. It doesn't need to be original.

I can have a test around on Monday to see if a 2017 screen will work on a 2019 for you.

Edit: Those circled areas in your picture - the two on the right-side and top are your WiFi/bluetooth antennas. The screw at the bottom isn't too relevant - it's just to support the lower support bracket, which is basically just a thin bit of metal.

They should be compatible. Might need to swap the backlight cables since the one on a 2019 model is a bit longer and slightly bent compared to the older 2017 model. But it’s easy to do - the cable is connected on the bottom of the LCD on the left and right hand sides.

Update: I can confirm a Late 2015 5k LCD works on the 2019 model too.

inhabe actually decided to go about and order the 2019 version as I really just don’t want any compatibility issue and hope to not open this up again.

I am struggling to find the WiFi/Bluetooth antennas. Anyone able to suggest anywhere that posts to the UK? I could alternatively glue thr craxked plastic back I suppose. Either way I’m not sure what screwdriver fitting I need to remove these to replace or repair if anyone can please advise.

The only thing I need now is one screw for the chinstrap.
