A2DP Support in 3G or ver 2.0?

Anyone care to venture whether A2DP Bluetooth functionality will finally be achieved next month? I've a S9 Mototola headset that I'd love to be able to use on my iPhone. I currently use Motorolas D650 BT adapter with my Nano but even it won't work with the iPhone and the headset. Might a software add-on gain such functionality?

I have sony BT8iP, it works with iPhone but I'd LOVE native support! That's actually my number 1 feature for iPhone 3G (besides 3G

A software update can theoretically add A2DP support no problem but I don't see Apple adding the feature anytime soon.
