I've just updated to iPhone 3.0 on my 2nd Gen iPod Touch. I have a sony MBS-100 single bluetooth speaker and I have successfully paired with it. However I was really disappointed to find there is no way to control the volume, the speaker itself doesn't have any volume control. It's just stuck on Max.

This is a real disappointment—even my old Palm TX could control the volume. Hopefully Apple can add the extra software to make this function work.

Any ideas?

True. Apple's bluetooth implementation is as basic as it can be. However Volume control from the player over bluetooth is 50-50 among players. The Samsung T10, P2, P3 and iriver SPINN have it, but the Cowon S9, Touch, Insignia Pilot, and a Philips bluetooth player I have don't do Volume.

All the players I listed, except the Touch, at least do track fwd/back. Apple has some work to do.
