A3.0.1: Quick Brushes Greyed-out

Quick brushes, Curves, and CA adjustments are greyed-out. What might cause this?

I think it's a bug, I got the same thing the other day when I dragged images off my card into a project - it said "This photo has been processed by an older version of Aperture" so I reprocessed and everything was fine.

If I select the project in the importing window everything works fine, pretty sure it only happens when I drag.
