iPod touch A4 chip value!

So I dissected my old iPod Touch 4 and I was wondering the value of an old A4 chip.

I'd say the A5 chip has the most value. The iPad 2 and the iPhone 4S are still going. It's like the Energiser Bunny of Apple products.

I don't even know if you can swap chips inside a device...would ios reject the new chip?

Probably. I've never heard of anyone upgrading their chips.

You would need a microscope to do the micro-soldering required to transplant the chip from one board to another, it is far cheaper and easier to replace the entire circuit board than just the A4.

My iPhone 4S and iPad 2 aren't complaining 😀
