So I finally got my new 6SPLUS today and it's freaking sweet!

Decided to find out if I have a Samsung or a TSMC and according to Cultofmac there's an app that can do that. Here's a link to the article and the app in question..

Tried downloading the app several times and my iPhone says unable to download CPU identifier etc. etc. etc.

Any idea why the app won't d/l?

Don't screw around with the sketchy stuff.

This is the sketchiest way to check your chip info because it uses an unsigned program developed by Hiraku Jira. We can’t vouch for it, even though we did try it on our iPhone 6s and it didn’t blow up. It’s super-easy to use, but proceed at your own risk.

Use the Lirum free app.
