AAP3’s Auto switching to transparency

My AAP3’s often auto switch from noise cancelling to transparency for a few seconds before switching back to noise cancelling again, which is annoying as this gives the effect that the volume is repeatedly lowering.

Could they be picking up external sounds and mistaking this as me wanting to speak, or could they perhaps not be fitting me correctly?

I'd guess you have them on Adaptive mode or have conversation tracking on.
