I still think they should get Noah Wyle to do Steve. Not sure who they should get to play the Google gaggle.
My favorite TV writer. When I heard he was writing the Steve Jobs movie I knew it would be far better than Biography 2.0.
Although I am looking forward to the "circus" version with Kutcher. Note the reference to the D10 interview term.
Dx interviews could be improved with 70% less host talk (run on sentences) and 70% more guest interviews.

Please not Noah Wyle. Sorry to the above posters, but I just don't think Wyle has enough intensity for the role. Besides, he's already done it.
Actors I could imagine pulling off the difficult task of playing Jobs are:
Edward Norton
Michael Fassbender
Christian Bale
Daniel Day Lewis
All great actors, all possessing a complexity similar to Jobs, all with their own fire-burning-inside intensity.

I dont freakin care about who the hell plays as steve jobs, as long as he looks alike and acts well
Agree, and not just for his acting ability, his own temperament is ideal for the role:

I'm sure most of you know his rant on the DoP during "Terminator: Salvation". This behavior has been coined "typical" by those close to his work (careful: NSFW, but definitely enjoyable).
It also made it's way into the club scene, with a well known DJ remixing it to a great beat:

Hate to be a downer, but I am NOT looking forward to another Sorkin "biography". He writes his screenplays with the same level of historical accuracy as Oliver Stone, or whoever it was that butchered "Enemy At the Gates"
Prepare yourself for another piece with several real-life people "condensed" into a single character, date-night love stories added that never existed, and major facts wildly different from how they actually happened because "poetic license" makes it OK.
As much as I have a hard time imagining Ashton Kutcher playing a believable Steve Jobs, I'm actually hopeful that the indie flick he's in might be a little more like what actually happened.
For me, a movie/novel that purports to tell a story of real life, needs to actually do so accurately.
Prepare yourself for another piece with several real-life people "condensed" into a single character, date-night love stories added that never existed, and major facts wildly different from how they actually happened because "poetic license" makes it OK.

If I were the voice in his head I would go for a trilogy with only 6 months between releases. That way when it is post-theatrical it can make bank on PPV and TV then above average revenue on digital (DVD too).
That way he can have a beginning-middle-end-tease theme and have three complete story lines. He was pretty good at episodic TV (West Wing, his major character died), so he should stick to his strength.
Besides that is the only chance the DeAnza (BAYNAR) Rocket Club would make it into the story and that he would do full justice to the larger themes in Steve's life.

Gates delivered a Phillips cassette to Jobs and Wozniak.
Allen financed Space Ship One BTW.
Gates was an Apple believer and savior.

You just described every biographical movie & tv show ever made. If you want to watch an accurate portrayal of someone's life your best bet is a documentary.

Just enjoy it and don't take anything too seriously.
This is the man who ignored Jobs after he said he would help him write his 2005 Stanford speech.

I thought there were 2 movies coming out. Noah has said he'd love to do it. Maybe he will pick up the second movie.

Good Interview. I enjoyed watching that. I'd never seen or heard Aaron talk before now; i was a big fan of the West Wing but didn't know anything about the writer.. Looking forward to seeing what he does with Steve's story. Thanks for posted MR

No dis on Noah Wyle, but I'd rather see someone of a higher calibre than someone who stars in second rate television dramas. I want a film actor who really knows his stuff.
Just because you saw Noah Wyle in some made for tv movie does not mean that he is necessarily right for the role.
