i would guess that it is an old abandoned reseller, since the Apple Stores themselves are rather new

I agree. Apple Retail stores started popping up after they went to the solid white logo.

Im gonna guess its just an old sign taken out of context. Id bet that 10 feet to the right is an old IBM sign and an old Microsoft sign.

I've seen this on another site like a year ago.

There's a site with dozens of pictures from inside the store which was in Kuwait and oddly all the old computers, games, entire store was still intact with vintage 1990 era Apple computers on the shelves. I believe its a picture of what the store looked like after the Mar 91 Kuwait liberation subsequent the Aug 90 Iraqi invasion.

HAHA thats pretty cool looking!!!

I would definately feel comfortable going there for repairs etc.

I love the look of arabic, and Apple Computer in arabic looks so cool!!! 🙂

If anyone here can speak arabic or knows how to use a arabic computer please PM me 🙂

I'm Persian, and Farsi and Arabic use the same alphabet...

The sign basically says "Abble Kombuter"
heh.. they don't have any p sound in Arabic..

😎

You write Arabic and Persian right to left, right?

No, they don't. There are several characters that is present in Farsi
but not in Arabic. The pronunciation is a little bit different as well.

That is correct. I would like to note though that althought there is no
equivilant to the latin "P" in Arabic, any arabic speaking person can easily
pronounce it.

Wow, that place looks pretty cool as I sort of like wandering through abandon buildings. Oh, and plus I wouldn't mind having a few of those posters and banners 🙂

I wonder if a person could somehow get permission to enter and take something?

edit: after further reading of the forum I'll take the director chair please 🙂

Yeah, yeah, but they're close enough 😛

In that photo at least, all the characters are present in both alphabets...

But the majority of the folks over here don't know 😛 and it is always good
to inform them with the correct facts.

Anyway, a friend of mine works in kuwait. May be I can ask her to ask
about those stuff in that abandoned store 😀

someone there said they think about steal the posters, my thought was that stealing a picture of Ghandi seems so wrong(steal is wrong to even if your steal a picture of a theft)🙂
