Abandoned Apple Store?

I did not know what part of the forum to put this in so i stuck it here.

I found this picture on the internet and did not know that to make of it. I found it at http://www.amesfanclub.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=345&page=2

Is this an old apple store, third party store, or office?

I agree. Apple Retail stores started popping up after they went to the solid white logo.

Cool pic but it has to be an authorized reseller. Apple stores are almost new.

Im gonna guess its just an old sign taken out of context. Id bet that 10 feet to the right is an old IBM sign and an old Microsoft sign.

I've seen this on another site like a year ago.

There's a site with dozens of pictures from inside the store which was in Kuwait and oddly all the old computers, games, entire store was still intact with vintage 1990 era Apple computers on the shelves. I believe its a picture of what the store looked like after the Mar 91 Kuwait liberation subsequent the Aug 90 Iraqi invasion.

Looks like my theory was wrong as you can see evidence the store was circa 1997.

The sign basically says "Abble Kombuter"
heh.. they don't have any p sound in Arabic..

No, they don't. There are several characters that is present in Farsi
but not in Arabic. The pronunciation is a little bit different as well.

That is correct. I would like to note though that althought there is no
equivilant to the latin "P" in Arabic, any arabic speaking person can easily
pronounce it.

to inform them with the correct facts.

Anyway, a friend of mine works in kuwait. May be I can ask her to ask
