Why do certain paid apps get abandoned?
The developer probably wasn't making enough money to want to update it.
As in there aren't any updates anymore at all? Or as in a new update/version is released but as a separate new app instead of as an update to the exiting one?
"there aren't any updates anymore at all"
The developer moved on to something else probably or is simply not interested in (or perhaps just can't for some reason) spending any more time on the app after a certain point.
That really sucks.
I hate when there is no email either for support.
Plenty of times there could even be an email contact, and perhaps even updates too, but providing feedback over email or via some other means doesn't really get a response or anything like that.
I talking about the app Photostreamr. Could you tell me if you can find a email ? I sure can't.
It works still, at least the free version, but not over the internet only locally over the same network
Looks like the support link from the paid version of the app listed in the App Store (at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/imagebank/id382641857) goes to https://photostreamr.uservoice.com
Thanks didn't see that. Just emailed the developer.
It's so bad for this.
