Showed what a class act CNN is over MSNBC and Faux News...
They broke into prerecorded coverage on Sunday night (at about 12:30 AM) and did full coverage with an anchor.

Faux and MSNBC kept right on with whatever they were showing.

Anybody see World News Tonight last night (Monday)? They did a very nice tribute to Peter, including a bit showing his aforementioned ability to relate to children.

I watched the show with a friend. I know it's customary for them to talk of someone in superlatives when they die, but watching his career explained to us in detail, we were just in awe of his ability, drive, integrity, friendliness, humor and passion for his work.

I was reading another forum where this was mentioned, and it quickly devolved into a political hate-fest. I'm so glad we have a place like this that can remain relatively civil in such such a situation. And I'm hoping the special ABC is planning on doing tomorrow night is well done. He deserves a good send-off.

The Daily Show had a nice clip at the end of the show last night. Very respectful. Though I still wish Jon had said something.

ABC just did a very nice tribute, What I would say was one of the nicest things I've seen on TV in a while. Very touching and no commercials. I had no idea how much of a great news man Peter Jennings was.

Yes, he truly deserves a lot of respect. I watched parts of the tribute as well (wasn't around for the full thing unfortunately) and it reaffirmed for me what an amazing journalist he truly was.

The best ones you never really notice until they're gone. I just look around at the state of journalism today and realize how much I am truly going to miss this man. The ABC special was great, but it was tough to watch. It's still so sad.

If you smoke, I suggest you stop now.
