Hi there,

First time dev user - so I am new to the beta iOS scene.
Can anyone tell me if I will be required to download every beta release manually from the dev center and install it through iTunes - or will there be a one-click update option i iTunes as seen with the usual releases?

Thanks!

Welcome to the big house

In previous versions it's been using the mac to do it, I don't think we will see this until later on in the later beta releases

manual via dev centre i would assume, tho hopefully they'll enable OTA updates so we can test them out :)

iOS5 beta looks to me like the best beta iOS beta release ever. So the delta updates might be something that's already finished. It sure would be nice :)

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/534.32 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8F190 Safari/6533.18.5)

Hoping they will enable those Ota updates to test it. In the past you had to go through the devcenter website and download the new version.

We won't know until it actually happens. I would think they will test OTA at least a couple of times (even if its pointless code) before 5.0 goes GM. Expect to have to install beta 2 manually at the very least.
