So I have to write a paper on a movie that exhibits abnormal psychology (Fight Club won't be accepted).
Any suggestions?
Didn't Kubrik's Mechanical Orange have something to do with this?
Butterfly Effect? Hannibal? Silence of the Lambs? Gothika?
a clockwork orange? yes.
Silence of the Lambs was the first one that came to mind
Wow! Thanks guys, I don't know why I didn't think of these. Guess I had a mind block or something but great suggestions. I love most of them too. Now comes the tough part, choosing which one![]()
Depending on when it's due, you may want to watch all of them to decide.![]()
I thought about Gothika, but isn't it more paranormal?
The only problem is, phungy may want to stay away from the horror movie ones. I personally have not seen a Hannibal Lector movie, nor do I care too. The eeriness and the topic of cannibalism is just....*shudders*
I kind of think it's both. There are certainly some psychological elements to the movie (Halle Berry is a psychologist who is presumed to have gone off the deep end). But may or may not be the best movie for what phungy is looking for.
i think something that moves away from looking at "traditional" abnormal psychology (like "Psycho") to something that looks at a more obtuse or tangential kind of abnormal psychology (like "Dr. Strangelove" - "there is no fighting in the war room!") would be a much harder, but much better paper to write.
You might want to buy a few pounds of popcorn![]()
