No one said they didn't like you, I just hope you're not still applying every day like you were before because then you'd never get hired.

I think I know Why the oP Isn't getting Hired, based on What I assume His Resume looks like.

    iMac4Ever56,

I've had some problems with the Apple job website in the past. If I recall correctly, it told me to "select a state" but the drop-down menu was empty. I think logging out and then back in fixed the problem for me. Have you tried that?

And just one suggestion: the capitals really make your posts hard to read. I think you'll find that we're a much nicer bunch when lack of grammar, punctuation, abbreviation, formatting, etc. don't interfere with the clarity of your post. Generally, the more time you spend writing your posts the more time members will spend writing replies. :)

Best of luck with the job search. Let us know how it goes.

I'll be brutally honest (not intending to be mean). Look at your sentences. You capitalize when you shouldn't, don't capitalize when you should, and make questions out of statements. If your job coach hasn't told you this, get someone else.

Things like this make for a bad first impression, which will likely not land you an interview. When the resume and cover letter come through the systems, they will notice this and remove you during screening.

His dream is to work at Apple. God forbid someone with Cerebral Palsy even apply to the Apple Store. The point of this thread is to help him, not make fun of him. Don't fall of your high horse.

If he's submitting applications as often as he says he is, and Apple hasn't hired him yet, obviously, they don't want to hire him, so if he needs a job, he should start looking elsewhere rather than wait around for a job at Apple that may never be offered to him.

Very true, but I don't think help should be offered in a teasing way either. We don't know the OP's position.

for your information I work at an AMC Movie Theatre, i have applied at other jobs but they never call me, i'm very good with computers, i had a PC Computer in the past & that really sucked then on monday July 27th 2009, i bought a 24inch iMac Computer & i really enjoy it, i think i can do good working at an Apple Store, all i want to do is try & see if i can work at an Apple Store, if i fail at what i do then i know i can't do it, i'm not going to fight with people or whatever you want to call it? the idea is to Try & if i Fail then i realize i can't handle it ok :)

You're not upsetting anyone. Capitalization and grammar are not a big deal on the Internet. It is a big deal on resumes and cover letters.

No need to be sorry. It's just an FYI and I'm honestly trying to help you out here. I am in no way poking fun.

    Same Problem Here

    Hey iMac4Ever56,

I have the same problem when trying to apply for jobs through the Apple website. No matter what I do, I keep getting that "Please select at least one location" popup. I've selected a state and entered a zip code and radius (only one is needed) but still I get the error. I'm also curious why the error would only pop up several pages after the state/zip code selection is made. Why not warn the applicant on the page and at the exact time the error is made? Why wait until 3 pages later?

I emailed Apple help about but have not received a response, and the problem continues. :(

It can take anywhere from one to four months before the Apple Store contacts you regarding your resume. You could also try going in-store and asking to see the hiring manager in regards to an interview if possible.

The problem is that I can't even submit a resume because the website says I "haven't selected a location" regardless of how many locations I have selected.

The email I sent to Apple was an email regarding the problem with the website. I have received no response to that, and don't expect one. But I would like the website to work.

Your best bet is to probably walk-in your resume at an Apple Store and explain this to them. I did not have this issue come up when I submitted my resume roughly two months ago =/

If there's a problem with your application, maybe you should, as someone else said, go to the Apple store and discuss it with them in person. Good luck looking for the job. Don't worry about "having to leave the forum"; you're fine. :)

And you guys who are being critical to him because of his spelling and typing—I remember having read in other threads that he has cerebral palsy. Typing might genuinely be hard for him, and people carping on him about it isn't going to make matters any better.
