Was there a need to create another thread pal? Are you a professional? The latest mac out are the latest iMac you can buy. If you have waited this long for a newer model then just wait.

This forum is like groundhog day before things come out. Some people are still waiting for Mac Pro, thinking I should of just bought it last year. You cant keep chasing latest. If you are casual user current iMac are more than enough. You're money though.

Yes but apple said at iPad launch post PC era, soon these iMacs could get like Mac Pro's. It's all good waiting but you will be testing it for a lot of patient people. Also bare in mind the user guide is just that a guide doesn't mean it will happen. The iPod classic & Mac Pro's are saying don't buy but they have not been updated in years. If some really wanted that would they use the guide , knowing the facts?

Everyone is different if you want to wait then wait but if your impatient like most people asking this question then go and buy now.

Apple are much better at keeping secrets with upcoming Macs. Not having to deal with mobile phone operators are partners means things can be kept in-house much more. There are no certainties, except that suitable new chips are arriving, meaning an update is likely in the near term.
