Hello to everyone. So, in the App Store, there are a list of 7 incompatible updates, one of them being the update for Garageband, which I want to download, and I am unable to. It appears that my iMac needs to be updated more to be able to access the updates. When I press 'updates' it doesn't show anything though, just the incompatible updates. pls advise.

Here are the details of my iMac:

macOS High Sierra
Version 10.13.6
Imac (Retina 5k, 27-inch, 2017)
Proceessor: 3.8Ghz Intel Core i5. The Mac is a quad-core
Memory: 8GB (I intend on upgrading this because of the music software)

Your Mac can run macOS Ventura, which is found in the Mac App Store, but it won’t automatically show up as an update, so just search for Ventura. You’ll want to be sure you have a backup of your computer before you upgrade, of course.

Thanks man. Will macOS Ventura allow me to access the latest version of garage-band?

This is pretty standard Apple behaviour. Updates for there Apps usually require that on currrent or at most 1 prior release of Mac OS.
