It's fine to use Apples 12w charger on the 8+. Hell, you can even use Apples 29w charger on the 8+ for even faster charging if you're willing to pay the $70 for charger / cable.

I use the 12w iPad charger myself on my 8+ as I find it's the best balance of faster charging (quicker than 7.5w wireless or the paltry 5w brick that comes in the box) and low price.

The one you linked is the best when comparing speed of charging vs cost.

The 29w is a bit faster but costs a fortune.

Have you considered wireless charging? That’s new to the iPhone lineup and whilst not particularly fast, it’s fine for overnight charging.

The cheap $15 chargers from Amazon work fine if they mention QI support.

So it is good to use the 12w character thanks for the answer, I don't really need faster charging at the moment maybe in the future I get the 29w.

I stick with wired charging for now.

yes, it is fine. I use my iPad wall chargers, one 10w and another one 12w and I use them to charge my 2 iPhones and 2 iPads and they all work with one another.

These 10w to 12w iPad wall chargers are very versatile.

I want to ask do we need to switch our phone of? Normally at night I switch my IPhone 8 Plus.

I noticed that when the phone switched of and is recharging it doesn’t show the battery % is that ok? This is the first time having a IPhone.

When the device is turned off nothing shows on the screen.

I never turn my iPhone off and leave it on 24/7. I do reboot once a month or so but never just turn it off. You can turn the volume down or put it in do not disturb mode if you wish. My volume is where I can hear it if awake but no so loud that it would wake me up if sleeping.
