Is there a working fix out now? Did Apple do something?

I can't find anything useful by searching the forum...

For me, it's working OK if it doesn't go into deep sleep (i.e. I leave it plugged in or unplugged for less than 70 minutes). However, wakes from deep sleep still take about 10 seconds (on the 2010 they took about 5 seconds). Perhaps future updates will speed it up a bit more.

Mine takes a bit. If its been a sleep its normally a good few seconds before its at the log-in promt, sometimes 10 seconds. Deinfately not "Instant On" which to me means by the time you have fullly opened the lid its ready for you.

I had the same problem here. Apple somehow let the box checked to sleep the HD when possible (under energy prefs) - this should be turned off, as one has SSD. Ever since I deactivated this, I've had no more sluggish-wake issues.

Wow, this is interesting. Mine was checked also. You are right, not necessary for SSDs. I unchecked it to see what that does...

And what happened? Please tell me it worked...

No difference. I've never had a big problem. It takes 2-3 seconds tops to wake up. For me its instant, but reading some posts here have made me believe my MBA is broken, as it should be instant as in 0 seconds... :apple:

Just unchecked mine as well. I'll post back if it seems quicker to wake. Admittedly, mine never seemed to take that long - maybe 3-6 seconds max.

But I'll see if it gets better than that.

It's on pretty fast, maybe a couple of seconds. But WiFi needs longer to connect.

Used to be way fast with Snow Leopard though.

It's still working fine though IMO. I believe it will improve with time as more and more Lion updates will be released... I'd be furious if it took more than 3 seconds or so though.

I'm suffering from the slow wake up also. It wakes up just as slow, if not slower, than my old white Macbook (though much quieter).

Question for those who do have instant wake: is it as fast as an iPad? Is it supposed to be as fast as an iPad at waking?

Just tested this. No difference. Curious though...should we just leave it unchecked since we all have SSD's? Or does drive sleep benefit ssd's also?
