iPod touch About the 2.0 Update Failure

I just got off the phone w/apple support (1800MYAPPLE) and they said that there server crashed and they "temporarily" removed the 2.0 update so they could repair the server and they told me that the update should be available in about 2-3 hours.

JULY 11=EPIC FAILURE
 
hmmm... they have been saying that for hours! Hopefully though as the traffic dies down, it will become available.

This is very interesting! A date was officaly set. July 11. Today is that. Its not like they have let us down? Its amazing how just becouse it dident come out the second you though Every iPod touch user has been thrown onto so much confusion! Is it really that important? The iPod touch is a amazing device! You'll live. In my mind im kinda dissopoint in people now. Like have we becouse that greedy thats were ready to bash the people that brough us this product?...I'm just Thanking them.

If I was in apples position I would move to Hawaii and buy a hige mansion because i'd be rich 😀.
 
well...
in the meantime, I'll just wait.
It's free slurpee day at 7/11 so I'm gonna go get a slurpee and see how things are when i get back.

Lol, we should be disappointed in the way people are spelling.
 
It would seem to me that all the upset people about not being able to get the new software is just a tribute to how much people love Apple's products and want to play with the latest and greatest.
 
Be patient my dear....

the servers exploded.... it'll take a while, since fallout is spreading all over the server room...

you don't want apple technician getting radiation sickness....
 
if the servers were people they would be banging their heads on anything bacouse of syn packets.

chill people. it will happen, and if they are a day late, who cares
 
I clicked update on iTunes, it shows 2.0 is available, but it didn't do anything; I click update again just now and how it says 1.1.4 is the latest. WTF 😡

As much as people bash a company like Microsoft, their update servers NEVER go down.
 
Im very sad. I forgot all about 2.0 today and finally remember when i saw applications in my itunes when i was listening to music. I went to get it and just like everyone else ive seen on this board, no luck.

Although maybe im lucky cus i havent had to stress over it all day.

Im in no hurry, i got the apps i want downloaded and ill just need to wait for 2.0 tomorrow or whenever it gets here.
 
The best I got was 2.0 out then failed to load the buy page in iTunes. It is now back to saying 1.1.4

Well, you and any other whiner acting like today is the worst day of their lives can always go buy a Zune then.

I'm sure you won't have any trouble getting your hands on one. 😀

Well today was bad day because the Genius bars were closed, my MBP power cord ripped, and I had to wait 3 hours to get a new adapter.

apple really should know better than that, they had MONTHS to be ready, really, epic fail, i mean, even smaller sites realize after being slashdotted once they need to do something and usually do, apple had the exact same problem last year with activation servers and didnt lean a bit from it it seems
