the Auntie Player is side loaded and therefore does not need to adhere to any of Apples rules for apps.

I wonder if some one would be able to build in DNS support, so I could enter a UK DNS address while still using services region locked to Denmark.

Thank you

You can't. It hasn't been released and is unlikely too. It's unofficial, Apple would likely reject it because they don't have the licensing. The main aim of it was to get the BBC to bring out the official iPlayer app, which the BBC are doing. Any aunty app would have been for a jailbroken Apple TV, if they were ever jailbroken.

I do not mean for it to be uploaded to the App Store, but simply for the code to be edited to allow for in-app DNS use.

The code for the app is already on GitHub and with Xcode 7 it can be loaded to an Apple TV without Apple approving a thing.

Installed this now, and working 100% perfectly!! :D :D

Who needs the official app!! :D

Sounds like you haven't followed my instructions 100%

You downloaded precisely as I outlined and double clicked on the file to start XCode??

Yep done exactly as you said except I had to download directly as downloading through the terminal command didn't find the file

Thats why it failed.
The most important step is the terminal command download.

Try again and check all spaces etc... Its critical u use terminal to dl

I managed to get it working by using another link. You need to sort out the terminal link in your post as if you copy and paste it it doesn't paste properly.

Yes I double checked it and you're right. Seems the PDF conversion did something to the link format.

Its all updated now, and to make it easier still I've changed it to an installer pack zip file... so you can do everything locally.

I get an error saying:

Failed to code sign "Auntie Player." No non-expired provisioning profiles were found.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

You need to create a developer account and you need to pick this in Xcode. That is what sounds like the problem to me

I tried with the free developer account, got the same error. I don't have the £79 paid for account though. No where in the instructions did it mention anything about that after downloading XCode...?

Free developer account is all you need... sign in... compile app... any error now, rename it to just 'Auntie'... hit the FIX button, and it should compile just fine.
