There's a very large thread about SSDs in the Macbook Pro forum. Brand of RAM doesn't really matter, and you probably don't need 16 GB.

More and more people keep calling or mistakenly shortening Macbook Pro as MacPro.

Been on eBay a few times to scout for cheap MacPro only to see "MacPro for sale" was actually an MBP.

I don't really like the sound of that. Once a glorious and powerful desktop machine now being floored and dumbed down with a super popular laptop with "pro" moniker. Not even close.
